If you?re new to the world of traditional nutrient dense foods (or just need a refresher) these classes are for you! In this series of classes learn the whys and hows of preparing real food. Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon is an amazing book, but can be overwhelming. Together we will learn the techniques in the book, share resources of where to buy real foods, and learn practical strategies to eat healthy, nutrient dense meals, three times a day, every day. These classes are all naturally gluten free. Some are appropriate for people following a paleo diet and some are appropriate for vegetarians. ALL classes are about offering real world solutions to serving meals made from scratch every day.
In this series of classes learn to make authentic Japanese food from scratch, using traditional methods. When describing Japanese cuisine, most people would say that it is healthy, emphasizes the seasons and appeals to all the senses. I have considered these aspects very deeply over the 25 years that I have been preparing Japanese food. We will explore many of the sayings which inform the Japanese way of cooking and enjoying meals. In addition to learning many recipes, we will be also be doing lots of tasting to understand the profound complexity of flavors.
